Neutral

Don't get me wrong; I am a color-lover. Regal purples, flame reds and the mustardiest of yellows all have a home in my closet. I do, however, love the power of a classic neutral outfit. Like a great haircut, all-over neutrals frame the wearer instead of masking her. And sometimes, I like to let myself shine a bit, rather than the bold colors and patterns.

Today I watched Despicable Me (and cried. classic.), had a lovely lunch with hubs and sister, took a nap, read a book, went to dinner with my mother and picked up moving boxes from friends. Simple summer days like this are a fleeting pleasure, and I treasure each one.

Amazing, Nina. I love the simplicity of this outfit and really, you do shine in it. Sweet and simple and classic, just like Despicable Me (um, and have you seen Up? I seriously cried half a dozen times watching that movie. Killer!).

I seriously love your hair, I know I said it already but so stinkin' cute.  You look so beautiful in vibrant colors but this look is great on you... great way to mix it up!

I love that skirt. Such a pretty summer outfit! Your hair is beautiful --  you're making me re-think my own length :)

I haven't said this yet, but your hair is très chic. :) I love this light, breezy, classic summer look. I start teaching middle school English in a few days, and I'm just not ready for summer to end!

And, oh man, I cry all the time during "kids" movies. Anything Pixar pretty much guarantees an automatic weep-fest (Up?! Toy Story 3?! Wall-e?!).
