Hot Pink Camel

That's right-- the boots are back. I'd like to welcome them with a full round of applause because I love boots that much. After the sorry demise of my blue suede pair last season, I am on the hunt for a pair of non-brown knee high boots that won't cost me 2 month's salary. Any suggestions? I've been trolling ebay but may just take a trip to my favorite vintage store, which has an impressive array of new or nearly-new boots.

Camel seems to be one of the it colors this season, and I love how it looks paired with brights. Here, I took a standard summer skirt and mixed it with some fall basics- tights, boots, scarf- to create a lush look. These earrings are definitely a favorite-- they jangle as I walk, and the fabric is a fun touch.

This may seem obvious, but I've always been successful finding moderately priced boots at DSW.

I second starlight's comment, DSW always has a good inexpensive selection, an usually a ton of coupons floating around. Also, if you're looking for ones to wear through one or two seasons, Target's got a few decent and cheap pairs out there too.

(BTW, I love the pink on you!)

I actually have lately been seeing boots at Forever 21! You could also look somewhere like Love Culture, they will probably have boots and all of their stuff is pretty inexpensive. Let us know if you have any luck-I could always use an idea of another pair of boots to get myself this fall :)

I absolutely adore that scarf. I'm somewhat tempted to get up right now, go to Target, and get the same one! It is so cute, and pairs beautifully with the camel-colored shirt. I love camel- it's not dark and moody, and makes me feel like (since it's pretty light) summer isn't TOTALLY gone. :)

Thanks for sharing! I love your blog!

Love this outfit! It's so warm! Also, I'm loving being able to wear my boots again! Now I just need to invest in some rain boots and a pair of riding style boots.

Those earrings are pretty awesome. I haven't delved into boot shopping yet which might be a mistake, since everyone seems to be on that boat... there will nothing left when I go! New plan: boot shopping.

That's amazing... normally, I do not like neither pink nor camel too much, and I did not think that together they could look this great - but they do!

Hey Nina! I love love love your outfits! I have a question: do you have any recommendations for good vintage/thrift stores in New York City that sell cool, unique stuff? I have yet to truly find a go-to place in New York. Thanks!
